
As anyone reading this is by now aware, The Newfoundland T'Railway Council has officially launched its new website at www.trailway.ca. Even though it is up and running, however, the site remains a work in progress and we would certainly welcome your comments or suggestions as to how it can be improved.
In a news release issued on March 4, Environment and Conservation Minister Ross Wiseman announced that all sections of the T'Railway Provincial Park closed as a result of damages sustained during Hurricane Igor have now been reopened. The engineering assessment of the damages incurred post Igor revealed approximately 250 sites in need of repair along a 380-kilometre section of the trail.

Clarenville to Goobies Reopened
The T'Railway from Clarenville to Goobies has been reopened. The area between Port Blandford and Thorburn Lake is the only section of the T'Railway that remains closed as a result of damage from Hurricane Igor.
The T'Railway from Gander west to Jumpers Brook has been reopened for public use.
As of February 21, 2011, the Indian Pond Bridge in Seal Cove has been closed to all pedestrian, ATV, snowmobile and vehicular traffic until further notice. This section of the park was damaged as a result of a recent storm surge in the area.
The section of the T'Railway from Gander west to Jumpers Brook is reopened for public use. With the opening of this section the entire T'Railway west of Port Blandford is now reopened.
